The German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) and Standardisation, Testing and Quality Certification Directorate (STQC), Ministry for Communication and Information Technology are conducting an eGovernance project called “Economic development through eGovernance”.
The project supports SMEs in India through training. Two different types of SMEs are being addressed: “User SMEs”: All those SMEs in India who do not belong to the IT sector (e.g. textile, automotive sector etc.) and “ IT-SMEs”: All those SMEs in India who belong to the IT sector.
The user SMEs are being trained in the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) to address their business problems and to become more competitive.
The IT SMEs are being trained on specific IT related topics which should help them to strengthen their technical capabilities and to be able to support large IT companies or customers in the eGovernance sector.
The trainings are being given by intermediary organizations such as business development service providers (BDS), independent software vendors (ISV), business associations (BA) or training institutes (TI).
To date, an assessment of the User and IT SME’s needs was done and first experiences have been made in the following number of states: Maharashtra, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Gujarat and Karnataka.
These experiences need now to be up scaled in 6 states.
Lot 2
To support the e-Governance project in up scaling of ICT related training courses for “IT SMEs” and “User SMEs” in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
In this context German Technical Corporation (GTZ) Invites Expressions of Interest to bid for and participate in the above projects. Interested firms may send in their Expressions of Interest with profile of their business and past performance and key areas of experience. Short-listed firms only will be given the tender dossier for presenting the bids.
Firms wishing to present their EoI are invited to download the forms from http://www.gtzindia.com/egov/
Please send your completed Expressions of Interest electronically, with subject line as per the instructions on the EoI form you will be downloading, to the e-mail ID given below.
