As our main objective minimize the negative impact of the improper handling of waste solids s and l liquids post consumption, the project aims: * raise awareness, provide knowledge, seek alternative altogether and solutions to the local problem, to improve the management of such waste in communities included. Adem s generate multipliers or facilitators of this process, presenting them with d a follow-up through training workshops, lectures, home visits, etc., be elaborated together with communities, a plan of action n for short, medium and long term. Another result be promoting the use of collection centers and promote the usefulness of the fertiliser org nico home. We will apply the methodology to which Yiski has developed and improved with different communities of all s. pa Be n conducted training workshops in various locations (P Costa jaros-Distrito de Manzanillo, Puntarenas, Chira island and island horse-coast Pac fico Gulf of Nicoya), in which be delivered did practical material, and be given follow-up through home visits, taking care to involve the central and local government. Included adem s the revision n of the plan de acci n training n support and follow-up committees and the development of training workshops, to strengthen the processes. The proposed project fits within the Estraegia national of PPD/GEF/UNDP since they develop n community activities of protection and conservation of the environment, through the proper management of waste with the support of an NGO Yiski. Adem s waste have to do directly with energy consumption impact directly being part of the problem of the warming of the planet, as the production is of pl plastics and overall packaging that consume raw materials and in its processing n consume energy to and contaminate the environment before, during and after the process of producci n. The experience of Yiski can be perfectly relieved part of the same problem, giving alternatives and viable solutions that are within reach of individuals and communities, with the collaboration of n of the private enterprise of the place, to the extent of the possibilities and above all, of the State and local governments. According to categories as set out in detail in the budget, funds are distributed in the use of facilities and equipment (n Yiski and communities contribution), print materials (n Yiski and contribution of UNDP contribution) n, disclosure n and promotion n of programmed activities (Yiski, communities and UNDP contributions), to cover accommodation costs, power n and transportation of participants (UNDP contributions), formation n of facilitators in the workshops (contributions of Yiski, communities and UNDP), and support to follow-up (contributions of Yiski, communities and UNDP). M s Yiski important contribution is to share its long experience in this field, did practical material, organizing and administering the workshops n, and its follow-up during a period of a to o and a half. GENERAL objective * start a project of sensibilizaci n and motivation n on the proper handling of waste s solids and liquids post l consumption, on the islands of Chira, Venado and Costa P JAROS. With the purpose of minimizing the negative impact of inappropriate handling of waste solids and liquids post consumption l s, are n members of selected communities, to enable through facilitators/multipliers with a plan of action n and comits support and follow-up, initiate or strengthen the actions necessary for the proper handling of dom plastics waste. OBJECTIVES specific implement a project of education informal environmental n on the waste management by means of training, talks and concientizaci n, to the communities involved, to the extent possible, work it with the schools in the area and the Ministry of health. Help promote the use of warehouses or warehouses for the communities involved, mainly in the community of Costa P JAROS located in the District of Manzanillo, Puntarenas.
