Dalmia Cement (Bharat) is planning the 0.902 MTPA Jamuna limestone mining project at Village Jamuna, dist. Satna, Madhya Pradesh. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 251.05 million. The limestone will be the one of the source to the company`s envisaged cement plant. The project is waiting for environmental clearance. According to MoEF sources, Enkay Enviro Services is the environmental consultant. The total mining lease area is 89.234 hectare. ROM 0.902 MTPA including limestone-0.50 MTPA, soil-0.042 MTPA (26,200 cu. mtrs) and OB - 0.36 MTPA (1,80,004 cu.mtrs). Geological reserves is 15.48 million tonnes and the probable mineral reserve available is 11.43 MT (1,14,27,690 tonnes). The proposed project is an opencast conventional fully mechanized mine. The lease is granted for 50 years. The limestone from the ML area will be used in the proposed interlinked cement plant of the lessee in dist. Satna, Madhya Pradesh.
