Energy costs represent a large part of the municipal budget of Vrapchiste. Complete or partial implementation of energy efficiency measures will significantly reduce energy consumption and costs; while at the same time will reduce the transmission of CO2 in the air. As one of the current problems that contribute to inefficient use of energy is using outdated models of lighting fixtures and too many lightning places in these municipalities. By replacing light fixtures with energy-saving light bulbs will contribute to a reduction in electricity consumption and therefore to reduce the emission of CO2 emission in the atmosphere. On the other hand, the project will directly contribute to creating sustainable system energy efficiency through the development of a strategy involved municipality, which is their legal obligation. During the preparation of the strategy will be used the experience of municipalities that already have produced such a strategy (Vrapciste), and in relation to other activities will be used the experience of previous SGP grantees that have implemented projects in this area. The aim of the project is to create conditions for reducing climate change in the rural municipalities of Polog - Municipality Vrapchishte through improved energy efficiency in street lighting, awareness raising and capacity building of stakeholders involved in issues related to energy efficiency. Specific objectives: Target 1: Reduce power consumption by applying the principles of energy efficiency by replacing lighting fixtures; Target 2: Raising awareness on climate change, energy savings and the advantage of using renewable energy sources, through educational workshops and printed materials;
