Hind Energy And Coal Benefication (India) is planning a modernization of its coal washery at Village Hindadih, dist. Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh on 27.42 acres in the existing plant premises. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 120 million. The scope of modernization will entail change in technology from 2.4 MTPA dry type to 2.4 MTPA wet type coal washery. The plant already comprises of a 1.2 MTPA wet type washery; the combined capacity of the plant will be 3.6 MTPA wet type coal washery. The project is waiting for environmental clearance. According to MoEF sources, ETP will be installed. 1.0-1.5 MW of electricity will be required for operation of the proposed plant; which will be sourced from CSPGCL grids.
