Environmental policy and administrative management

In average 2 hectares of plough-land is provided to each family. Decrease of natural soil fertility resulting in constant reduction of crop capacity is caused by the high cost of organic and mineral fertilizers and absence of science-based crop rotation and monocultures (potatoes). The main goal of the project is demonstration of opportunities of organic fertilizers application, originated by composting and anaerobic fermentation for natural soil fertility preservation. During the project implementation the following results are expected to be achieved: Environment Impact Decrease of rate of natural soil fertility Economy Impact Intensive, ecologically oriented ways of processing of agricultural and cattle-breeding wastes will be demonstrated for population. Social and Cultural Impact - raising public awareness about greenhouse effect and their global significance - raising engineering knowledge on biogas plant manufacturing, installing and their exploitation - enhancement of domestic environment in the villages of Kalba aiyl okmet Actions to be undertaken by Public Association Kalba 1. Conducting seminars and round table. 2. Establishing compost pits. 3. Developing Biogas unit. 4. Publish brochures and manual about exploration of biogas units. 5. Make laboratory research of land degradation. 6. Information campaign. Farms and inhabitants of Kalba aiyl okmet of Talas oblast, employees of Center on producing low cost renewable energy sources equipment, members of PF Kalba will be involved in project implementation. The main project activity will take place in Kalba, Ogonbaev, Erke-Sary, Balbal, Chatbazar villages of Talas Oblast, Kyrgyzstan. The main expected ecological and economic benefits of the project are: - decreasing of greenhouse effect volume and emanation of Persistent Organic Pollutants due to reduction of using dried manure and burning of vegetation remains as fertilizer - decreasing of direct expenses for applying fertilizers
