Indian Oil Corporation is planning construction of a 1,600 KL additional ethanol storage tank at Mughalsarai Depot, Village Alinagar, dist. Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 90 million. Projects And Development India is the consultant. The project is in the process of getting necessary clearances & approvals. Environmental clearance is awaited. Work on the project is expected to commence after the receipt of environmental clearance & is planned for completion in 1 year thereafter. According to MoEF sources, the total area of the terminal is approximately 32 acres, out of which 16 acres is vacant land. The proposed additional ethanol tank would be constructed in the vacant area. Additional tankage, pumps, facilities for receipt, storage and delivery of ethanol will be constructed.
