Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust is planning construction of formation track and ancillary works for rail connectivity in connection with proposed dry port of JNPT in dist. Jalna, Maharashtra. The estimate cost of the project is Rs. 350 million. The scope of work involves earthwork in embankment and in cutting including mechanical compaction, plantation of trees in railway land, providing and laying pipe culvert, laying of ballasted and ballastless track, loading and unloading platforms, supply and spreading of ballast for track, supply and laying of sleepers and points & crossings and laying of rails, lifting and lowering of track, machine tamping of track and mobile flash butt/ thermit welding of rails. Indian Port Rail Corporation, the tender inviting authority, invites bids under single stage two packet system for the work of construction of formation, track and ancillary works for rail connectivity in connection with proposed dry port of JNPT at Jalna on Aurangabad-Jalna Section, Maharashtra.
