Kewin Chemicals proposes a 50 TPM SO dyes & its intermediates manufacturing unit at GIDC Industrial Estate, Vatva, dist. Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 17.5 million. The current status of the project could not be ascertained. According to MoEF sources, the total plot area is 703 sq. mtrs, out of which 94 sq. mtrs will be used for green belt development. The total power required for the project is 160 HP, which will be sourced from Torrent Power. A new ETP consisting of primary, tertiary treatment facility with RO and incinerator is proposed.
