Mohit Petrochemicals is planning an expansion of its spent wash-based co-gen power plant at Village Firozpur Hafiz, dist. Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh from 1 MW to 3.5 MW. The project is coming up along with expansion of molasses-based distillery at the estimated cost of the project is Rs. 475 million. Distillery consultant has been appointed. The project is waiting for environmental clearance. Work on the project is expected to commence in 2019. According to MoEF sources, the project is coming up in 22 acres of existing land. The steam required for the project is 28 TPH for that Slop fired boiler capacity 30 TPH will be installed. [Info as of: Sept. `17]
