Project Description
Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments is planning a 2 MW solar photovoltaic plant in Andaman and Nicobar. E-tenders have been floated for design engineering procurement and supply construction and erection testing commissioning associated transmission system and comprehensive operation and maintenance for 25 years of 2 MW solar PV power plant with BESS at Andaman And Nicobar Islands on turnkey basis. The scope of the work is design, engineering, procurement & supply, packing & forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage at site, site development, construction, erection & installation of equipment, testing & commissioning along with associated transmission system approx. 8 km. & 1 km at Havelock & Neil Island respectively from 11 kV nearest substation, including right of way and comprehensive O&M for 25 (Twenty Five) years thereafter of the said 1.0 MWp and 1.0 MWp solar PV power plant with 1.0 MW/ 1.0MWh ( at the point of coupling) and 1.0 MW/ 1.0MWh ( at the point of coupling) battery energy storage system for Havelock and Neil Islands respectively . The battery energy storage system is used for diesel reduction, frequency regulation, managing the intermittent supply of solar power (Smoothing Solar curve) and should supply stored excess power to the grid beyond solar hours at both the locations. Thereafter the selected bidder has to demonstrate 1 year assured performance of the plant as specified in the bidding documents, etc. [Info as of: Oct. `17]
