Shilpa Medicare proposes an expansion and modification of its Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) & intermediates manufacturing unit from 126.8 TPA to 422.415 TPA with R&D activity at Industrial Growth Centre, Village Chicksugur, dist. Raichur, Karnataka. The current status of the project could not be ascertained. According to MoEF sources, this is a 100% EOU. Aqua Tech Enviro Engineers is the consultant. Estimated cost of the project is Rs. 604 million. The total land area is 21 acres. Effluent will be treated in Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) ETP with MEE and RO system. The total power requirement is 1,800 kVA which will be sourced from Raichur Municipal Corporation. Construction work will commence in April 2017. [Info as of: Oct. `16]
