The Ramco Cements is planning an integrated cement manufacturing plant at Villages Itikyala and Kolimigundla, dist. Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The project will comprise of a 2.0 MTPA cement, a 3.15 MTPA clinker and a 2 x 25 MW thermal power plant. Land has been purchased for the project. Environmental clearance has been applied. The project is in planning stage. According to MoEF sources, the plant will be located in an area of 202.36 hectares. The limestone requirement of the plant will be 4.5 MTPA which will be met from the captive limestone mining leases located adjacent to the plant. The capital investment cost of the project is Rs. 15,000 million in 2 phases. Indian coal & imported coal from South Africa/ Australia/ Indonesia & USA will be used. The plant is expected to be commissioned by November 2019. [Info as of: Jul. `17]
