Vega Auto Accessories is planning a new helmet manufacturing unit in dist. Belagavi, Karnataka on acquired land. The plant will manufacture minimum capacity of 20,000 Nos./day and a maximum capacity of 22,000 No./day. The estimate cost of the project is Rs. 1,000 million. The product will be export to USA, Europe and Asian countries. The project is in planning stage. The machinery will be procured partially from India & partially from abroad. Work on the project will commence in January 2018 & expected to be completed in 2020. The company currently has three production units, two in Uttarakhand and one in Belgaum, with manufacturing a total of 12,000 helmets/day. [Info a of: Oct. `17]
