Wonder Cement is planning a 2-phase 2x2 MTPA clinker grinding unit at Industrial Area, Village Kherwas, dist. Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. Each phase will entail 2 MTPA. The estimated total cost of the project is Rs. 7,250 million, out of which, Rs. 3,750 million will be invested for phase-I & Rs. 3,500 million for phase-II. Equipment suppliers & contractors are yet to be appointed. Creative Enviro Services is the environmental consultant. A power plant may come up in future. The project is waiting for environmental clearance. According to MoEF sources, land requirement is 28.5 hectares. Land has been allotted by Madhya Pradesh Audyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam. The plant will adopt dry process to manufacture PPC and OPC. Power requirement of 14 MW for phase-I and 12 MW for phase-II will be sourced from state grid. The project will be completed in 12-16 months period after receipt of all approvals. [Info as of: Sept. `16]
