The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH cooperates with the the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEFCC) Government of India under the BMUB funded global project Global Carbon Markets (GCM) and the Indo German bilateral project on Supporting the Institutionalization of Capacities on Climate Change Studies and Actions (I-CCC).

The GCM project aims to develop and enhance capacities of policymakers and private sector to use existing and emerging carbon market and climate finance instruments for climate change mitigation.The I-CCC project has been designed to support MoEFCC, GoI in developing appropriate capacity building structures for climate change studies and action specifically in climate research and thereby support efficient knowledge management and foster capacity development measures, establish networks with national and international research institutions and support the launch of a public climate information platform.

GIZ, under these projects, proposes to engage the services of an appropriate App Developer/IT Company in order to undertake the following activities –

• Develop a mobile application to determine GHG footprint and create awareness regarding options for reducing the GHG footprint
• EEnsuring continued engagement of the public with the App, maintain the app and align it to the existing government apps like MyGov
• Provide a fully working database, with user friendly GUI and a dashboard able to provide clear data analysis and reports.
• Develop and submit a training manual for the app, database and website management and conduct training for app management
