The proposed project consists of a 5-year loan for US$15 million to be provided by IFC to Banco de Crdito de Bolivia S.A. ("BCP Bolivia" or the "Bank") to support its lending activities to small and medium enterprises ("SMEs") in Bolivia (the "Project"). IFC has a long standing relationship with the Bank which started in 2009 with a Global Trade Finance Program guarantee facility of up to US$10 million. BCP Bolivia is the 5th largest bank in Bolivia in terms of assets. The Bank employs approximately 1,650 staff and has 51 branches across the country.
