Northern Railway is planning the Rishikesh-Karanprayag new BG rail line in Uttarakhand. Rail Vikas Nigam is the implementing agency. GPT Infraprojects has bagged an order for construction of major bridge over river Chanderbagha, ROB and RUB with approaches at road crossings in Virbhadra-New Rishikesh-Shivpuri section of Rishikesh-Karanprayag new BG rail line project. The size of the contract is Rs. 640 million. Work on the bridge project is expected to commence in Q2 2017. The completion period is 18 months. The BG rail line project is in tendering stage.
