GOAL Increasing utilization effort for dry land within community governance area with productive attempt to decrease pressure to surrounding forested area. OBJECTIVES Objective 1 : Revive and maintaining conservation in cot Lhee Sago and neighborhood area Indicator : 1. Members of conservation group become more coordinate and a pioneer for critical land utilization. 2. Existing training of mapping area to produce coordinated conservation groups and modul for each training. 3. Existing participatory mapping of conservation area and community land including community governance area. 4. Existing border area for Cot Lhee Sago conservation area. 5. Existing working plan for developing and utilization conservation area agreed by Cot Lhee Sago communities, farmers, and other stakeholders. 6. Minimum 84 hectars from Cot Lhee Sago are conserved with sapodilla plant (1ha), Kuini (10 Ha), kakao (12), jackfruit (4 Ha), mahogany/ Sengon / Seuntang (4 Ha), Kapok randu / panjo (20 Ha), jengkol (1 ha), rambutan (1 ha), lanseum (1 ha), banana (10.25) and crops (10 ha). Marked with fences around 84 hectares Activities : 1. Conducting training and practicing area mapping that involving Cot Lhee Sago community and targeted farmers. 2. Socialized conservation area border in Cot Lhee Sago. 3. Forum Group Discussion to arrange work developing plan and utilization conservation area agreed by Cot Lhee Sago community for basic on developing and program implementation. 4. Planting and preserving dry land plant such as; Sawo, jambu, Jambu Batu, Jemblang, dan Sirsak. Objective 2 : Developing alternative plant in Cot Lhee Sago conservation area as income sources for community. Indicator : 1. Existing 7 hectares demonstration garden for dry land integrated management 2. Existing 14 hectares community land development in critical land planted by Cacao, Rambutan, Jackfruit and bamboo. 3. Implemented product development training package from community farm for economic value increased. 4. 50 household had already implemented product development from community farm 5. Existing management development module for integrated dry land. 6. Community members and local societies earn new income resources. Activities : 1. Developing demonstration garden for dry land integrated management through pioneering the development of banana plants, cattle / buffalo, grass forage, crops and freshwater fisheries 2. Developing community s demonstration plot by planting Bamboo, Cocoa, Kuini, rambutan, gadung hutan, and jackfruit 3. Conducting join training with Cot Lhee Sago s farmer group which include processing gadung hutan and nipa palm sap. 4. Implementing training results with communities to be spread among others Objective 3 : Conduct a preparation of scarcity by developing food alternative Indicator : 1. 2 hectares of food reserve alternative farm of sukun, gadung, gadung hutan, palm tree and sago. 2. More farmers who developing food alternative in their own farm for food reserve. Activities : 1. Developing food alternative farms which include tanaman sukun, gadung, gadung hutan, dan sagu. 2. Conducting training of processing food alternative plants products which can be utilized for consumable and can be used to increase the economic. 3. Conduct participatory planning to develop food storage system. EXPECTED OUTPUT 1. Conservation implementation in Cot Lhee Sago area for around 84 hectares. 2. Development of food alternative plants in critical land and community s farm for livelihood resources. 3. Development of food alternative business by the community. Participants and/or Project Beneficiaries Direct : 100 members of Cot Lhee Sagoe and surrounding farmers Indirect : 400 citizen of Bak Sukon kampong and neighbours
