The issue of biodiversity has been on the agendas of the MNC and their organizations for the last more than ten years. Therefore, the MNC has been involved in the management and development of the central theme of the consultation process and object of this project - from its participation in the elaboration n , ny DISCUSSION legislative adoption of the Law on Biodiversity and its embeddedness in CONAGEBIO . THE April 30, 1998 Biodiversity Law No. 7788 is PASS and its contents is closely related to the n peasant production units , with ind nous territories and , in general, the areas covered by these lands and natural resources , as well as the biodiversity in these areas ; in which there is a significant amount of wealth of flora and fauna pa s . For MNC , in the peasant communities of biodiversity resources have been used for many generations , community health , to crafts , agriculture, art, alimentation m ny other multiple uses. This knowledge is shared at the community level without minimum to earn money, but on the premise that communities have better living standards . To establish a suitable n reglamentaci to the BL and time - to - reach containing the feel and look of the ind nous and peasant communities - it is necessary that this consultation process is carried out with the broad participation ms No , because it will it provide the key elements to rescue the rights and benefits belonging to these communities , making at the same time , existing resources to care for future generations and protect the appropriation n improper by other entities outside the communities themselves . General Objective: To define a proposed reglamentaci n n on protection of the Community Intellectual Rights for local communities to be representative of the interests and concerns of rural communities , as well as consistent with the proposal for the protection of these rights in n ind territories nous developed by the National Bureau Ind gena , and serve as a tool sensibilizaci DISCUSSION n ny based on the subject in local communities , institutions, decision makers n pol tica and the international community . Objectives spec GRAPHICS : 1- Take back the results of the previous phases of the Consultation to systematize , clarify and validate the contents and guidelines for the protection n of Community Intellectual Rights defined by peasant organizations and local communities during the previous phases of this process. 2 - Develop a process accompanied by experts peasant leadership , culminating in the newsroom n a preliminary document that sets out the rules and guidelines interests raised in the previous phases consulted by organizations and local communities, and that is consistent with the framework national and international law on the issue or propose the framework jur dico necessary. Implement a three - process analyzes, comparison n ne integration of preliminary normative documents developed so far by the National Bureau Ind gena and Mesa Nacional Campesina , in order to advance the structuration ny n homogenizaci a joint document according to the provisions of the Biodiversity Act . 4 - Developing with the National Commission for Gesti n n Biodiversity DISCUSSION ne process exchanges on the preliminary proposed regulations and guidelines for the protection of community intellectual n rights arising from Consultation processes developed by the Bureau national Peasant and National Bureau Ind gena . 5 - Implement a national and international divulgaci n and the results obtained to date guidance from the consultation process . Implement a six - bell sensibilizaci n , ne visualization exchange on the results and scope of the consultation , aimed at decision makers n pol tica , institutions, organizations related to the sector and farmers organizations , nationally and internationally.
