Environmental policy and administrative management

The project focuses on the question of the d degradation of the natural environment which is due usually intensive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. It r has turned out thus: a decrease in the rate of the mati res organic, acidification and a lat characterization of soils; This causes constant declines in yields, and more and more conflicts. The consequences are also noticeable on the quality of life of the people. To find solutions this question, a number of actors who s occupy l agriculture and of the development base have started the promotion of organic cotton. is within this framework that the pr registered s project and will work with my actors m which are: HELVETAS/B nin, producers, the CeCPA Banikoara officers and the PAPR NGO staff. The objectives pursued are r assume an extension of the experience two hundred (200) new producers (which have t d permit s) and enhance endog nes d sustainable agriculture techniques including revenues of mastering of pests of crops in General and cotton in particular. So the project would d reach a certain number of results namely: implementing provision of the producers of the technology package for the production of organic cotton, l supply seeds and equipment ad quats, the d development d activit s and sp related sheer cultivation of organic cotton. All this will be done through a strengthening of the capabilities, implementing ad adequate equipment and research and the valorisation of local species. The strategy strat will be put producers at the center of the device, associate the local powers, endog nes resources and solicit l expertise ext domestic. L NGO esp re for this support in technical advice from HELVETAS, m me than the CeCPA, producers relay agents, as well as consultants under ext. The administrative management and financial of the project will be e assur by l PAPR NGOs.
