Tamilnadu Salt Corporation is planning a 40,000 TPA salt refinery at Mariyur Valinokkam Salt Complex (MVSC), dist. Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu on 5 acres. The unit will produce refined iodized salt. The cost of the project is Rs. 56.5 million. Foundation stone was laid on 29th January, 2016. The project is planned for completion in 2017. [Info as of: Jan. `16]
