The Indian Wood Products Company is planning a katha (wood) processing unit in Jammu and Kashmir. The Small Industrial Development Corporation (SIDCO), Government of Jammu & Kashmir, has allotted to the Company 4.34 acres of land on lease basis for a period of 37 years for setting up of a katha processing plant in Jammu & Kashmir. In principal approval from power and pollution boards has been received, Company is now making the payment towards land allotment and will proceed to complete the registration formalities.
