The livelihoods of these two villages are almost relied on natural resources, which many of them are highly threatened by the agriculture practices of the communities themselves. Increasingly the farmers are using the chemical fertilizers as well as the pesticides for their agriculture products. As the results, the negative impacts are become more visible such as the degradation of natural resources, low soil fertility, loss of biodiversity, and contaminated water resources. With the lack of knowledge Know-how and unawareness of the dangerous of chemicals, many villagers are getting to sick, etc. Therefore, due to the unsustainable agriculture practices in Ban Mokso and Ban Thamphakea are not driving the people out of the poverty. In addition to that, there are make people become vicious circle of the poverty because they are lack of saving money due to almost their income is pay back medicinal and also health care s. Project awarded through SGP will contribute to improve the living standards for the pro-poor people (farmers) who working on agriculture sector by capacity strengthening, awareness raising them to see the long term benefit of doing a clean agriculture products and also reduce chemical using aspects.
