Bio-diversity

The project aims to safeguard an adequate management of the Iernut and Cipau fishponds, in consideration of the needs of the local population. A management plan will be developed in parthership with the local mayoralty and stakeholders. Milvus will acquire the custory of the fishponds` protected area in order to monitor the effective implementaion of the conservation actions identified in the management plan. The project also aims to mitigate the conflicts generated by the inappropriate land use techniques in the protected area. Awareness will be also raised in the communities of Cipau and Iernut on the importance of biodiversity conservation and the Natura 2000 network.

Romania
