Przemkow Ponds belong to ESE Natura 2000, also it is Landscape Park.Protection plan requires clearing area of bush and reed in various periods, protectinh habitats of wetland birds.Part of reed is used as construction material, the rest of poor quality is a burden. Nearby school was planned to close activities, local farmers including Roma community protested.High cost of old risky boilers providing heat using coal is to be replaced with modern boiler for biomas (reed,bush,branches).Also local farmmers and Romas will use bigger pieces of wood for heating purposes,replacing coal. Project has economic,ecological ,social and cultural dimension; project`s outputs should be: implementation of protection plan for NATURA 2000 and reserve; coal to biomas conversion with well predicted by energy audit ecological benefits (decline of GHG emission as well as ash ), integration of Roma community into local life, generating jobs and income;breaking stereotype barriers and prejudices. It is in fact BD focal ara with "services" of CC focal area.
