Bio-diversity

The overall objective of the project is to build capacity of grantees on GEF SGP procedures. This will be bolstered in capacity building workshops to address the knowledge needs of SGP grantees and other civil society organizations. The specific objectives of the project are to: i. Enhance the capacity of grantees to implement the projects financially supported by the programme; ii. Help grantees to sharpen the financial and project management skills to enable adherence to the reporting requirements of the programme; iii. Help grantees to assimilate and integrate project outputs into their internal processes for sustainability, improved ownership and impact; iv. Strengthen, explore and forge partnerships for resource mobilization with other financial institutions, government, donors, private companies, community based organizations and civil society organisations. v. To bring on board or explore the other grantees to various funding modalities, development partners being government, donor, corporate and private sector. vi. Undertake a site visit to learn and share experiences with other grantees.
