Strengthening of the Cidel ndia Environmental Organization F rum (FAMEC) is the purpose of this project. This will be accomplished by means of promoting agroforestry systems implemented in the Galil ia community and its surroundings. The native beekeeping activity will be used in this promotion. The expected results include strengthening of small farmers through public policies in their favor, improving quality of life in rural areas. Cid landia is in the state of Maranh o, in the transition between the Cerrado and the Amazon. More specifically, the project hopes to accomplish: monthly planning, monitoring and evaluation meetings; participation in municipal councils; strategic planning toward integrated local development; dissemination of the work; expansion and improvement to the native beekeeping activity in the region; promote exchange of information among the experiences of similar nature.
