It s a demonstration project in five different localities in the West Bank including :Jama ain village in Nablus, Al Jeab village in AlQuds, Bani Zaid town in Ramallah, AlQba Jaber camp in Jericho and AlSheikh village in Hebron aiming at reusing the animal wastes to produce traditional handicrafts as an environment friendly alternative of burning the wastes in the randomly spread landfills. The waste reuse would the possibilities of the production of methane associated with decompositing as well as Co2 emissions and eliminate the potential ground water contamination. The project will also contribute to promoting eco-tourism and enhancing the traditional skills in handcrafts making to meet the needs of the modern society. A varied type of wastes will be reused examples of which are: animal leather and wool, wheat leaves and olive trees.
