To promote eco-tourism in Potohar region and train locals as tourists. The project envisages to achieve its objectives based on the following activities; Mobilization and organization of environmental clubs based on membership of Ex-servicemen society. The community will be organized for betterment of environment, identification of potential tourist/environmental guides for promotion of ecotourism in the area and Training in the field of biology, surveys for better scope of eco-tourism. Activities include Arranging workshops and training courses for awareness of the Community, particularly the identified potential guides, development of tourism facilities in the Project areas without disturbing the present ecological conditions. Building confidence of the visiting tourists for better publicity, Production of Tourist brochures of the project areas, Coordination with the line agencies like Forest, Wildlife and Tourism, Departments for better implementation of the Project. The project plans to be implemented in four identified areas of Potohar Region. But at the first instance, the Lehri Nature Park near the town of Dina, District Jhelum will be the first site for implementation of the Project. In the next phase, the society intends to undertake the same task for Rohtas Fort and Tilla Jogian area. The concept will be replicated on following two more sites if further funding is secured.
