Water resources policy and administrative management

The project is aimed at increase community s awareness on conservation and generates additional income for people living in Veurn Sein Village, O Svay Commune through community-based pro-poor eco-tourism development. This project will build the capacity of the indigenous community to be actively involved in analysis of the important of natural resources/eco-tourism on their livelihoods. By actively participating in this project it is expected the community would be confident in carrying out various advocacy activities that will protect the interest of community. Hence, the implementation of eco-tourism will increase the knowledge of the local community as well as the clients it serves on environmental issues and conservation strategies and also help them to have eco-tourism services skill so that they could generate income as an alternative to the exploitation of forest/fish product. This skill would be largely extended to other members of community even though the project is completed.
