Terai being a most productive places of Nepal, subsequently a large number of people are involved in agriculture. The byproduct from agricultural farm, rice husk are normally disposed by burning or used as a cheap fuel in large paper mills for boiler. The project has intended to demonstrate the new technology of Rice Husk Gasifier Stove in Purainiya VDC where the firewood is very shortage for cooking. In rice husk gasifier stove only 1.5 kg of rice husk is sufficient to cook a meal for average family of 5 members in contrast to the conventional cooking which consume 4 to 5 kg of firewoods for cooking the same amount. Rice Husk Gasifier Stove is suitable in local level which is users and environment friendly technology and that also helps to saves the huge amount of money invested in LPG & kerosene oil. The main objective of the project is to promote eco friendly, energy & cost efficient technology` Rice Husk Gasifier Stove` to improve the quality life of rural communities.
