Documentation and revival of traditional medicinal species and their uses in the Maldives with the aim of preserving traditional knowledge and practice of Maldivian medicine (Dhivehi beysverikan) and to develop a curriculum and initiate a training programme to teach dhivehi beysverikan at certificate level in order to revive the practice and provide a means of livelihood for local communities.
