Bio-diversity

The primary of this project is twofold: (1) in the short-term is to collect and collate existing information for the sustainable utilization and policy dialogue on medicinal and aromatic plants in Liberia, and (2) to ensure that medicinal and aromatic plants biodiversity is conserved through ex-situ and in-situ conservation approaches. The major objectives would be addressed by this project, and they include 1. To document the indigenous knowledge associated with the use of medicinal and aromatic plants by collecting and collating information on such plants. 2. To create a platform for policy dialogue on benefit sharing with respect to indigenous 3. To implement domestication ( ex-situ conservation ) programs that involve that income generation and restoration and depleted medicinal and aromatic plants.
