In order to produce the expected results and accomplish the project s objectives, numerous activities will be undertaken. They include: Environmental education through awareness rising: This activity will involve the reprinting of designed information, education and communication materials (posters, flyers and billboard). An awareness campaign team will continue to engage project communities through awareness creation. The content of the awareness include: environmental awareness, land degradation, sustainable forest management, climate change and biodiversity. Environmental education activities will also use the media especially local radio stations to broadcast discussions and messages in local languages. Prominent citizens of the regions will be invited to appear on community radio talk shows in order buttress the objective of the exercise. The entire awareness campaigns process will take 30 days. Demonstration at agro forestry plots site will continue to be use as a tool to show a new model of an ecological and integrated farm that will operate like the ordinary backyard farm of rural home garden. Agro forestry Nursery site Maintenance: the project intends to provide supports for the maintenance of the established cocoa and moringa nurseries sites and farms. The supports will be in the form of training, transplanting and establishment of new nurseries were necessary. Support to established rattan craft producer group: Providing continue supports in strengthening the livelihood enterprise of forest community dwellers is crucial to conservation of biodiversity. With the construction of the new rattan craft production and marketing center, training and mentoring are prudent to ensure long- term sustainability. This project will hired a local trainer to offer specialized training to rattan craft producer for a period four months in making baskets, hats, furnishers, etc at higher design and standards. This is sure to increase their production level and subsequently increase income. Monitoring and evaluation: SADS is keen to make sure that project s objectives are met and impact felt. To do this, monitoring and evaluation will form fundamental components of activities that are to be carried out to produce desired results. A joint monitoring and evaluation visit will be carryout by the project management team. Monitoring will be done during the phase of each activity and a monitoring report written at the end of every activity for activities that have a timeframe of less than a month. For activity exceeding a month, monitoring will be done at the end of every week and report written at the end of every month. There will be two phases of evaluation: a midterm evaluation three months after the project commences. This will be done to measure performance indicators from activities level to output level indicators and for adjustments to be made as per evaluation reports
