Environmental research

The proposed project intends to address the knowledge management issues arising from the UNDP/GEF/SGP funded community projects in Kenya. The primary objective of this project is to generate and document the explicit and tacit knowledge domain of these UNDP/SGP supported community projects. The knowledge base will be derived largely from the following sources: existing documents, reports, publications and from people who in one way or the other directly or indirectly been involved in or benefitted from the funded projects. At the end of the proposed project a comprehensive knowledge management booklet would have been produced and delivered. Once it has been approved the booklet will be launched at a public ceremony. In addition to the knowledge management activity, the proposed project intends to organize 2 workshops one each in the UNDP/GEF/SGP geographical regions of Coast and Mount Kenya. The aim of the workshops is to disseminate information about the GEF 5 to stakeholders
