Project Description
This planning grant will be implemented to support a baseline survey. Burguret River water users plan to form a Water Users` Association. With funding from COMPACT, the Association will address the myriad issues that contribute to water conflicts by developing a water management plan for the catchment, promoting drip irrigation, and installing staff gauges along the river. This will provide a basis for self-regulation among the abstractors.
