Promotion of alternative energy saving technologies is very perspective for Kazakhstan at the moment. Now electricity is generated by traditional energy sources. Electric power industry constructed in 50 and 70th of XX century, are now physically and morally exhausted. This fact may lead to that the republic will face a huge deficiency of electric power, and have to buy it additionally in Russia and Central Asian Republic, damaging its own economy. One of the ways for transition to sustainable development is economy of natural resources. It can be reached by use of alternative renewable energy sources, and apply energy saving technology. Besides, promotion of renewable energy sources use is a method to improve sustainable livelihood of local communities in the remote areas. Lack of methodical materials on energy saving technologies, modern methods that can be used by local people complicates solvement of the problem. The purpose of the project is decreasing negative impact on environment out of use of traditional energy resources by informing population about alternative renewable energy sources technologies available. The project tasks are i) summarizing information about accessible technologies with description of different renewable energy sources, ii) giving consumers opportunity to choose appropriate technology/method/approach to solve the energy supply and enrgy efficiency problem, iii) elaborating recommendations for owners and attendants of public and office blocks, which being guided by they could estimate power consumption, define and implement energy saving measures. As a result of the project a methodical brochure "Accessible technologies on renewable energy sources use and energy saving measures" with detailed description of perspectives for alternative renewable energy sources use in various directions will be developed. The brochure will keep a description of a wide range of accessible technologies and the examples of success implementation of the methods/technologies, etc.
