Project Location:Kermanshah(34.3147820-47.0544430)- Sirangoli Naghade(36.9616710-45.3968810) This project aims to combine internal and external monitoring for 5 SGP projects in the Zagros Area by adopting participatory approaches. The Development and Capacity Building Institute (Pooyeh) will undertake a participatory monitoring of the following 4 SGP projects. 1.IRA-G52-2001-010 (Goude Jashiri project) 2.IRA-G52-2003-027 (Parow project) 3.IRA-G52-2003-028 (Siran Goli project) 4.IRA-G52-2003-034 (Caspian Pony project) Pooyeh Institute will undertake site visits, workshops and training session to assist these 4 project teams to monitor the progress and assess the activities. The grantee will also train these project teams in following which will assist these groups in submitting substantive reports to SGP. Observing and documenting change by determining baseline and indicators Regular ongoing assessment of performance, achievements and impacts Reflection & feedback on the above Learning from experience Promoting team work and participation of various social groups Monitoring and evaluation of the Parow Project will involve three different stakeholders: the grantee the local community UNDP-GEF/SGP The final outputs are: A Booklet on Participatory Monitoring Guidelines. A Pamphlet on lessons learned and process of the project. 100 hard and 5 soft copies to SGP, 50 hard copies to Swiss Embassy and DoE each. An edited 20- to 30 min documentary of the footage taken during the project (Farsi with English subtitles). 5 VHS and 5 soft copies to SGP, Swiss Embassy and DOE each. 5 soft copies of the powerpoint presentation on the lessons learned of the project in Farsi. Finally the project will present the lessons learned and outputs in a half day information sharing workshop in Tehran.
