Damascus Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (DAWSSA) in collaboration with Damascus Friends Association, an NGO based in Damascus, initiated a pilot project related to advocating the use of drought resistant plants and water saving techniques that utilize solar energy in Damascus` home gardens and parks. Project activities will include establishing an environmental garden in Dummar. The environmental garden will be annexed to Dummar Water Billing Center where visitors will have the opportunity to get acquainted with water saving techniques and drought resistant plants thought demonstration sites in the garden.
