Empee Sugars & Chemicals, belonging to the Empee Group, is planning an integrated sugar project in dist. Karimnagar, Andhra Pradesh. The project will consist of a 3500-5000 TCD sugar project, a 60 KLD molasses-based distillery to produce ethanol and extra neutral alcohol and a 30 MW bagasse-based co-gen power project. The project is waiting for environmental clearance. Work on the project is expected to commence in October 2013 and scheduled for completion in Q3 2015. [Info as of: Aug. `13]
