Bio-diversity

The overall goal of the project was to establish an efficient system for the management of key natural and historical resources. The objectives of the project were as follows: - to conserve forest resources, reduce illegal hunting and protect biodiversity through and integrated ecotourism initiative; - to establish a system for the management and preservation of cultural and natural recreational sites throughout the Carib Community; - to improve solid waste management practises throughout the area; and - to organise and implement a clean-up of the Caratal River in Georgetown and develop a river monitoring programme.
