Environmental policy and administrative management

The project contributes to increasing sustainable land management practices in the area by supporting small projects to the local community that will later decrease soil erosion, and introduce income generating activities in the area. With fluctuating annual rainfall, rainwater harvesting practices will be introduced to the local community that will later help in preserving the agricultural biodiversity in the area. Project Specific Objectives: - Conserving the biodiversity in the area, along with improving the livelihood and living conditions of the local community, by using a revolving fund that is given to help initiate projects. - Enhance the awareness of the local community about soil conservation and water harvesting practices. - Reducing the possibility of Soil erosion through soil conservation practices. - Enhance the status of women in the community through upgrading their skills and income, which will later be connected to activities already functioning in the society. - Increase the income generation for local rural families, and create new jobs opportunities for rural women.
