The project is designed to ensure the regeneration and preservation of representative floral and possibly faunal species that are threatened with extinction and directed towards the in-situ community conservation of the critically endangered Sclatter s guenon monkey (Cercopithecus sclateri) which is endemic to southern Nigeria. And also to foster climate change adaptation through massive indigenous tree planting coupled with community development schemes involving the construction of two boreholes for each of the two host communities to elicit their support for the project and ensure its long term sustainability. Youth , women are the major target groups.
