Project Description
The project seeks the invigoration of eco-turism activities in the biological corridor located beetween the "Polochic River Delta Wildlife Refuge" and the "Sierra de Las Minas Biosphere Reserve", like a strategy to achieve the conservation of the natural resources through giving the opportunity to know its scenic, biological and ecological values generating economic revenues for the population. Among the specific objectives of the Project they are: to strengthen the community organization, to strengthen the capacities of leadership into the women group, to provide generating activities of revenues for the beneficiaries using local resources, to provide of shelves with information related with the local resources, to qualify in topics referred to the attention and services with managerial focus to the visitors, with the purpose to generating a revolving found to do sustainable the Project, to establish an energy forest and to strengthen the eco-turism in the Wildlife Reserve. Among the prospective results one has the employment generation for all the participants in different aspects and types of handworks, as well as the commercialization of the products, with a conservative vision generating economic revenues that limit the pressure on the natural resources of the area, implementation of small business, impact toward the environmental protection, administration of the project with gender perspective, to guaranted that the project is sustainable.
