Government Of Telangana, Department of Horticulture, is planning a spice park at Village Padigal, dist. Nizamabad, Telangana on 40 acres of land. All the necessary approvals have been received. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 308.1 million, out of which Rs. 150 million has been sanctioned in the financial year 2017-18. The project is being implemented by Telangana state Agro Industries Development Corporation. The park would primarily focus on turmeric. Contractor has been finalized. The project is in pre-construction stage. Compound wall construction is in progress. Civil work of the project is expected to be commenced in FY 2017 & will be completed in FY 2018.
