North Eastern Railway has inaugurated the gauge converted rail track of Bhojipura-Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh on 14th December, 2016. Also, Train No. 55382 Pilibhit-Bhojipura-Bareilly City Passenger on the gauge converted track of Bhojipura-Pilibhit was flagged off. According to media reports, along with seven small bridges and two bigger ones, the broad gauge was completed at a cost of Rs. 1,800 million. The length of the railway track is 39.3 kms. Another gauge conversion work is in progress on a 62.77 km long railway track between Bhojipura and Tanakpur. [Info as of: Dec. `16]
