Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA) is planning the Uttarakhand State Data Center (SDC) in Uttarakhand. Online RFPs have been invited for design, site preparation, supply, installation, commissioning of the SDC, its maintenance and operations for a period of 5 years from the date of commissioning/ FAT of the data center. The SDC is being planned with a total carpet area of 2,767 sq. ft (approx) at the ground floor which will include a server farm area of 1,011 sq. ft. The SDC is envisaged as the vehicle for effective implementation of Electronic-Governance (e-governance) across the state. The SDC will be based upon open standards, state-of-art technologies, and suitable topology and with the flexibility to expand/ upgrade to cover future IT roadmap of Uttarakhand. The SDC shall provide efficient electronic delivery of G2G, G2C and G2B services. The proposed SDC shall facilitate consolidation of services, applications and infrastructure. It would provide many functionalities and some of the key functionalities are central data repository, secure data storage, online delivery of services, citizen information/ services portal, state intranet portal, remote management and service integration. It will act as a mediator and convergence point between open unsecured public domain and sensitive government environment. It will enable various state departments to host their services/ applications on a common infrastructure leading to ease of integration and efficient management, ensuring that computing resources and the support connectivity infrastructure (SWAN) is adequately and optimally used.
