The community of Matapalo , is located in Santa Cruz cant n , in Guanacaste , 8 kil meters Leatherback Marine National Park. Currently this important park for the protection of the leatherback turtle n , is at risk due to the presence of two models of development faced by coastal areas. One, driven by intensive construction n , large commercial and residential complexes high environmental impact. The other sustainable development , which seeks to reduce the footprint of the n destruction of human beings and fight to save ecosystems. The Association of Friends Ladies n Leatherback Marine National Park, born in the context of defense and protection of this site n , with a proposal for community development based on sustainable activities without over- exploitation of natural resources n . For this he has ventured into rural tourism activities , a trav s sale service alimentation attention na ny investigation ny tourism education . Some members are also part of the Associatio n Gu n as Matapalo , and formed as gu as one of them already has the certificate credits as such. Although the Ladies already have four years of operation do not yet have the infrastructure to operate TRAINING ne a more efficient way c fashion, leaving them unable to increase their income econ monkeys . So this project has the general objective of promoting the economic development of the Association of Friends Ladies n PN Marino Leatherback , by generation n green and decent jobs, while awareness of the importance is to contribute to the protection of the environment . This will focus on strengthening the capacity of partners, the generation of jobs n trav s rural community tourism and environmental education n n directed to the general population of the community of Matapalo and park visitors . General Objective To promote the economic development of the Association of Friends Ladies n PN Marino Leatherback , by generation n green and decent jobs, while it is aware of the importance of contributing to the protection of the environment .
