This project seeks to initiate and popularize the use of ash generated from burnt palm tree wastes, rice pads, cacao and coffee peels for the purpose of black soap production among women especially widows in villages within the Mano Dasse Chiefdom, Moyamba District, in order to reduce their dependence upon the use of trees for local black soap making; thereby improving sustainable forest management practices as well as their livelihood.
